In 2006, Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D. founded Miller Vein, a vein treatment center dedicated to providing patients with the most advanced varicose and spider vein procedures. Dr. Miller was the first to utilize Veinwave ™ treatment for spider veins in the state of Michigan. “My patients have been very satisfied with the results of Veinwave. As for treating facial veins, there is nothing better,” says Dr. Miller. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D., earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University where he graduated with high honors. He then attended Wayne State University Medical School and received his M.D. with high distinction. In a class of approximately 250 students, he was one of only 15 to achieve honors each year of medical school. He received his radiology training at William Beaumont Hospital where he served as a chief resident. He then did a fellowship in interventional radiology, which has been his professional focus ever since. Board certified in Interventional Radiology and Phlebology, Dr. Miller is also a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners as well as the American Board of Radiology. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in interventional radiology. Dr. Miller has received many honors and awards throughout his training and professional career. HOUR Magazine named him one of “Detroit’s Top Docs.” A member in many honor societies, Dr. Miller was accepted to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi as an undergrad and to Alpha Omega Alpha during medical school. He received the Faculty Teacher of the Year Award multiple times at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center, as well as the Research Mentor Award. Dr. Miller has given hundreds of lectures, often speaking at national medical meetings and medical professional conferences.

Dr. Conti, Northern California’s most experienced vein specialist, founded Advanced Vein Care in 1981. Advanced Vein Care is the area’s leading center for comprehensive, State-of-the-Art diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Conti’s practice encompasses a wide spectrum of venous disease––from complex venous reconstruction to sclerotherapy of spider veins. The first surgeon in Northern California to use VNUS Closure and EVLT techniques for the treatment of varicose veins, he performs more of these procedures than anyone else in the area. He has treated thousands of patients during his career, including prominent Sacramento area physicians and politicians. With respect to Veinwave, Dr. Conti reports this exciting technology permits effective treatment of facial spider veins. “There is a misconception facial spider veins are indicative of alcoholism. This is simply not true. Though alcohol can worsen their appearance, it does not actually cause the spider veins. Veinwave is an ideal solution for patients who wish to eliminate these veins, particularly those who because of the economy, may be recently unemployed and looking for a new jobs.” Please visit www.advancedveincare.com/page_3.html
Upon completion of his residency, he returned to Omaha in 1979 and has been in the practice of general and vascular surgery since then. Over the past three years his practice has evolved to an exclusive practice treating only vein problems. His practice includes multiple modalities such as ablation procedures, ambulatory microphlebectomy, sclerotherapy and Veinwave. "The addition of Veinwave two years ago has been a terrific complement to our practice. We have successfully treated over 500 patients with Veinwave with uniformly and overwhelmingly positive results. Put simply, we love it and our patients love it."
“We have been getting amazing results - especially with the treatment of facial telangectasias/spider veins. It is not uncommon for our patients to become emotional and tear-up after their treatment because the small telangectasias that have plagued them for years are gone in one treatment. Prior to Veinwave, the smallest, and (ironically) the most frustrating veins to treat, were difficult, if not impossible to clear with sclerotherapy. We still use sclerotherapy for many leg veins, but now we only use Veinwave for facial veins - and our patient are very happy”.
In 2001, Dr Cutler was the first Consultant in the UK to be introduced to Veinwave and has been offering the treatment ever since from his private practice. Speaking at a recent convention, Dr Cutler commented on his view of Veinwave… “I find Veinwave uniquely helpful in treating the telangiectatic aspect of Rosacea, the one part of the disease that is not addressed by any other form of treatment”.
He has practiced internationally including the Middle East, France, The United States and Canada; mostly relating to Vascular Surgery and Organ Transplantation appointments which have lead to a long list of major surgical interventions that spans Carotid surgery, Aortic Surgery, Liver and Kidney Transplantation, and major abdominal surgery. Dr Issa has successfully secured several research contributions (amounting to $500,000+) in all fields of activities, some of them leading to a significant impact on related practice.Lately, Dr Issa has pursued his special interest in the diagnosis and management of varicose veins disease in all its degrees and presentations. One aspect which he has never relishedis in the treatment of spider veins – “Generally, this was an unpleasant undertaking for me as a vascular surgeon. Most of the time I used to refer my patients to be treated at Dermatology clinics using skin laser machines but the patients often returned complaining of pain, burning, and mostly of recurrence of the treated spider veins. At the beginning of 2008 I was introduced to Veinwave which proved to be a revelation and offered myself and my patients a most rewarding experience. I was immediately able to offer them a complete service for their varicose veins starting from diagnosis, to endovenous ablation, and finally eliminating their reticular and spiders totally by micro-sclerotherapy and Veinwave. One of the most pleasant surprises was that the my patient base soon doubled by virtue of the fact that the lure of Veinwave meant that I began to also receive patients seeking ablation of their spider veins whilst in fact they suffered from saphenous reflux disease that indicated endovenous ablation. Overall the addition of Veinwave in my clinic has increased my patient census and, more significantly, increased their general satisfaction”.
He has published over 150 peer-reviewed papers and has written/edited 18 textbooks in the field of general, transplant and bariatric surgery. He is Editor in Chief of International Surgery and is on the editorial board of Transplantation proceedings, graft, experimental and clinical transplantation. Professor Hakim was awarded the 2007 J. Wesley Alexander prize for outstanding research in the field of transplantation. In 2002, Professor Hakim was certified in the use of Veinwave and has since offered the treatment from his private clinic at 84 Harley Street, London. |
