Mrs V J C, Camborne, Veinwave Patient:I under went four courses of Veinwave treatment. I was very pleased with the results of the treatment to remove and tone down red thread veins on my nose and face. The level of discomfort was similar to a bee sting but it was quite tolerable the pain in no way discouraged me from further treatment. Prior to the Veinwave treatment I used cosmetics and creams and was delighted not to have to use them any more. The Practitioner was very informative as to all the effects of the treatment and also gave me literature to read which gave me great piece of mind prior to the treatment. My face during and after the Veinwave treatment was a little tender and red which soon settled back to normal within a few hours. I would be more than happy to recommend the Veinwave treatment that had and would under go it again if it ever became necessary in the future.

Vivienne Barker MSc, Fowey & St. Ives, Veinwave Practitioner:
Since starting surgeries using Veinwave I have got to say I have had some exceptional results for some clients. I have clients who have not worn skirts or shorts in years who have had a great improvement on their legs and now have the confidence to show their legs. Some clients who had very severe facial veins have had an amazing result which has improved their appearance dramatically. I find it interesting that not only does the treatment improve appearance but seems to help them clients better about themselves and improve their confidence. It almost in a way addresses some quality of life issues for some people. One important aspect to doing this work is to ensure that clients have no doubt in their mind what to expect after the treatment and that in some cases more than one session will be required. Client expectation is very important especially in cases of severe long standing leg veins. I always carry out a comprehensive consultation and examination before I start with any treatment. My medical background and training and experience in vascular work have proved to be invaluable during these consultations.

Mr J K , Anon, Veinwave Patient: The Veinwave treatment I received worked very well on the larger veins on my legs and a few at the back of my neck. As you mentioned to me at the time of treatment they did take several months to disappear, but the end result was rewarding. There was no discomfort after the treatment. There was only a slight reddening of my skin at the point of treatment and no scarring occurred. I feel that the Veinwave treatment worked extremely well on my larger veins, perhaps better than on the little thread veins. Your approach to carrying out the treatment was very professional. You did explain to me that they would take time to disappear therefore I did not expect miracles.

Mrs L M F., Potters Bar, Veinwave Patient:
Last year, I had a couple of Veinwave treatments on the legs and face. I am delighted with the results and, thanks to Veinwave, I now feel confident to wear shorts and swimwear. The practitioner explained the treatment in great detail, how it works and what to expect afterwards. The face veins went quickly; the leg veins took longer but presented no problems at all and faded away after a few weeks. I didn't find the treatment at all painful or troublesome and I would highly recommend Veinwave as an effective way of eliminating unsightly red veins.

Mrs S B., BSc MRPharmS JP, Veinwave Patient: I am writing to congratulate you on your company's Veinwave machine and to let you how it has made a great difference to my life. We tend only to put pen to paper when we wish to complain but I think it is equally important to praise when praise is due. Having a fair Celtic skin I have always been prone to developing thread vein on my face especially round my nose. These veins became troublesome about 15 years ago when I was in my thirties. I tried every proprietary product on the market for thread veins with no improvement at all. About 12 years ago I was then diagnosed as having the skin condition Rosacea which of course made the problem of facial thread veins worse. Over a period of several years I was treated (unsuccessfully) in both the NHS and the private sector for thread veins and Rosacea. I must have tried everything in this time but nothing worked and as a pharmacist with a partner who is a Consultant Facial Surgeon I had more knowledge than most about what was available. I spent large amounts of money on private laser and light treatments all of which made hardly any difference and actually left me with small areas of scarring on my face. Lasers (and I tried different types) seemed to promise great things but proved a disappointment over the years because they simply did not work. I also found laser therapy very painful and the recovery time was up to one month. About two years ago I was feeling increasingly despondent - my NHS consultant dermatologist said there was nothing more he could do and I had exhausted all the different laser and light treatments. I was becoming increasing depressed about my appearance. As a pharmacist and magistrate I am very much in the public eye and cannot hide away at home. I had to use more and more make-up to help cover the redness which of course only served to exacerbate the problem. By sheer chance I saw an article about Mr Brain Newman Consultant Vascular Surgeon and the technology behind the Veinwave machine. It sounded promising and quite unlike anything I had tried before. I had a consultation with Mr Newman who explained how Veinwave works and I decided straight away to book a course of treatments. Even though my particular case was very difficult Veinwave has been very successful and I am really pleased with the results. I think Veinwave works brilliantly well unlike lasers which promise much and deliver very little. In addition I find Veinwave is fast, the results are immediate, relatively painless (unlike lasers!) and I have experienced no scarring or bruising at all. I really cannot praise Veinwave highly enough -1 have recommended it to several other people who have all been delighted with their results too. I feel strongly that Veinwave should be the first-line treatment for thread veins and Rosacea and I get a bit annoyed every time I see glossy ads about how wonderful lasers are for these problems. I wonder how many other people like me have spent large sums of money only to be really disappointed with the results. I also believe that Veinwave machines should be in every NHS hospital in the country, not just because of the excellent results achievable but as it surely must be cost effective. When I consider what the NHS must have spent in unsuccessfully treating me over the years, there would have been a substantial cost saving had Veinwave been available. Whilst writing I must also say how impressed I have been with my surgeon Mr Brian Newman whose knowledge, help and support I have greatly valued. I do hope that my experience with Veinwave has been of interest to you and once again I would like to thank you for the Veinwave technology which has been of such great help to me.

Mr P C., Southampton, Veinwave Patient: I had Veinwave therapy for thread veins on my nose. The veins were very prominent and I had looked at various options before opting for Veinwave. I had tried using Vitamin K cream which had no effect whatsoever. I had discounted laser therapy on cost grounds and the fact that it affected a large area of tissue and took a long time to heal. I had the treatment in the Bedford Place clinic. My consultation was with Liz Bardolph. Liz was very professional and immediately put me at ease. She explained the therapy and asked me to complete a health questionnaire. The premises were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The initial treatment took 15 minutes. It felt like tiny pinpricks. It was certainly less unpleasant than a visit to the dentist and not much more expensive. At the end of the treatment the veins had completely disappeared. My nose was quite sore for a couple of hours and remained red for about a week. It looked like I had a heavy cold. Eventually the redness subsided. I have had one follow up treatment to clear up a few remaining veins. I may have one more to clear up one more small affected area. The treatment is fast with minimal discomfort. The cost was less than I had expected and reasonable. I would recommend this treatment for facial thread veins.

Mrs G W, Veinwave Patient: Veinwave to me is a magical treatment for removal of red veins. I began to see a difference even after one treatment. I found it quite exciting to watch as the veins started to fade away. The only discomfort I ever encountered was treatment around the ankles for any length of time due, I suppose to the sensitive skin in that area. Apart from that, no other discomforts what so ever. Before looking into Veinwave I asked my Doctor for information on treatment for removal of red veins, but these other treatments did not appeal to me they were much more complicated than Veinwave. I was given lots of literature on my first visit so I knew what to expect, how I would feel, and what to avoid after Veinwave treatment.   For about half an hour after I would feel a hot sensation in the area of treatment but nothing more. I am more than pleased with the treatment I received.

Ms. J D, Cornwall, Veinwave Patient: I received a course of Veinwave treatment carried out by Carole Goddard approximately 3 years ago, with occasional 'touch up' treatments over the next year or so. Treatment was on the thigh area of my legs. I found the treatment to be very effective and was more than pleased with the results, with the majority of veins treated being less visible or no longer visible. Although there was some minor discomfort with the treatment it was by no means a painful experience.

Mrs J R, Veinwave Patient: I was amazed at how effective the treatment was for the removal of red veins and bloodspots. The red veins disappeared completely from my face and so did the bloodspots, some of which were previously very uncomfortable. I experienced no discomfort as a result of the bloodspot treatment and only a very slight redness for 1 or 2 days after the red vein treatment. The Veinwave treatment was significantly better than any other I had received which was when a bloodspot was cut out by a GP, leaving a very unsightly scar on my chest. The explanation of the treatment was excellent as was your diagnosis and competent and professional approach. You took a great deal of care to explain what was happening after the treatment and this was accurate and reassuring. I was delighted by the treatment and services I received and it is no underestimate to say that I felt my morale and self-esteem improved as a result.

Mrs A Skelton, Padstow, Veinwave Patient: Red veins on my face had troubled me for a number of years. I had several treatments by the conventional needle treatment which I found very painful, expensive, and the results were not as expected. Luckily for me I read in the local newspaper about Veinwave so I decided to give it a go. At my age, 60, one can be quite intimidated by young beauticians but I found Carole to be caring, understanding and very professional. After only 3 pain free treatments, my skin has remained in good shape.

Mrs A, Newquay, Veinwave Patient: I was very pleased with my Veinwave treatment for red veins and blood spots. The level of discomfort was reasonable although I had received no previous treatment. The information given before the treatment was excellent and you accurately explained how I would feel after the treatment. This treatment was offered in a highly professional manner and the advice turned out to be excellent.

Anonymous, S.W. England, Veinwave Patient: I thought I would email you to let you know how I am following my treatment, just over four weeks ago, on 13th April. The days following the treatment were exactly as you had advised me.  Once the redness on my cheeks subsided the treated veins were slightly redder than before, but this subsided within three or four days.  The surface of my skin felt dry and rough, but this was just very tiny crusts that were not really visible to the eye, and they wiped of gradually within a week. The treatment was so successful, that I will definitely be back later this summer for a second session with you.  I am so happy with the results, and I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who enquires about it.
